You are a divine being. You matter, you count. You come from realms of unimaginable power and light, and you will return to those realms.
Terrence McKenna
Who I Am
First. I’d like to introduce myself as the main author of this website, Hayden O’Brian.
I could say that I am many things and for the sake of keeping this answer simple and non-philosophical.
I’ll just begin by sharing a little about my religious background.

I was raised first as a young Catholic boy who took communion and volunteered as an altar boy. Later in my teen years and into my twenties, I considered myself a Born-again Christian.
Right now, I prefer not to put a label on myself. I am certain that over time that concept of who and what I am will surely evolve and expand.
Hopefully.
For more about my background and experience check out my About Me page.
I’m made through the image and likeness of the Supreme God so in his image and likeness, I AM Supreme.
José Coronado, The Land Flowing With Milk and Honey
Over the last several years, I’ve gradually come to learn about the many similarities and relationships there are among many different religions. Beliefs, I never would’ve acknowledged before because they didn’t originate from Christianity.
These unfamiliar beliefs slowly began to make more sense to me, but only because I opened up to learning about them.
It wasn’t that I was ever really prejudiced against other religions, I just didn’t know or ever had a definitive opinion about them.
Broadening My Perspective
In the last few years, I’ve come to find out about so many scientific discoveries from Human Biology to AstroPhysics.
Recent theories rising in the field of Quantum mechanics, new insights into neuroscience, and even further, studies into the benefits of psychedelic-assisted therapy that I’ve found to be so compelling and worthy of much more discussion.
These new perspectives and personal experiences have challenged me to examine how I perceive our world and the nature of reality.

What’s interesting to me, is that learning about these theories of Scientists, Philosophers, and Psychologists hasn’t led me to atheism or agnosticism.
Instead, it’s opened up my heart and mind to more possibilities beyond what I previously even knew existed.
“You don’t know what you don’t know.” holds true for me now, more than ever.
l have a deeper curiosity for what humans as a collective have in common in our relationships with each other, this planet, and the universe we live in.
I’ve also begun to notice that the relationship between Religion and Science is not as oppositional as some of my mentors and peers have made it out to be.
Some of you may still believe that the two cannot co-exist.
However, for me, setting aside religious beliefs and accepting the inherent messages of love, forgiveness, and acceptance shared by many has significantly become more important to me.
My religion consists of a humble admiration of the illimitable superior spirit who reveals himself in the slight details we are able to perceive with our frail and feeble mind.

What Is Diverse Divinity?
So, I think the best way to sum up what Diverse Divinity is or what it means to me is to simply state the purpose and mission of Diverse Divinity.
The mission of Diverse Divinity is to develop an archive of reliable resources for learning about World Religions, Spirituality, Sciences, Philosophy, Culture, and Psychology.
Diverse Divinity is a resource for finding the meaning, origins, and concepts behind a multitude of subjects from Physics to Religious traditions, practices, and philosophies from around the world.
As a writer for Diverse Divinity, my objective is to share what I learn from books, journals, documentaries, and reputable sources so that Diverse Divinity too will become a verifiable resource for these topics.
By increasing our knowledge and awareness of the plethora of mythical stories, concepts, and beliefs and their origins, just maybe we can broaden our perspective of humanity and our purpose.
Diverse Divinity hopes to:
- Foster Unity
- Increase Compassion
- Promote Tolerance
- Raise our Collective Consciousness
- Initiate the process of, and/or plant the seeds of Awakening Spiritually (not Political)
I do not intend to indoctrinate or preach.
What you do with the information provided here is up to you.
I only want to share what I learn with you on my journey and I probably won’t be able to get deep enough into all of these ideas, but I will do my best to make it thought-provoking and engaging for all of my readers.
Diverse Divinity has been a dream of mine in the making for many years now, and I am grateful you are here on this journey with me.

Trust and value your own divinity as well as your connection to nature. Seeing God’s work everywhere will be your reward.
Dr. Wayne Dyer
Who is Diverse Divinity?
So who is Diverse Divinity?
It’s you. It’s me. It’s everyone and everything here that we can perceive and beyond what our feeble minds can even comprehend.
We are so much more than what we know and can see with our own two eyes and very few have recognized this.
If only more of us were curious enough to look a little deeper, deeper within and without. Humanity could truly evolve and realize a better future emotionally, psychologically, and spiritually.
We are Diverse and we are Divine.
