Many people confuse empaths with sociopaths because both relate to emotions, but they couldn’t be more different. An empath deeply feels and understands the emotions of others, often putting themselves in someone else’s shoes without trying. A sociopath, by contrast, struggles to connect with others on an emotional level and may ignore the feelings and needs of those around them.
In so many of those documentaries, the Whirling Dervishes can be seen twirling in their unique outfits, but I never knew exactly what it was all about, much less knew what it was called until more recently.
